We kept things classy and minimal and really enjoyed producing the photo-real illustration. Heather can upload new audio files and videos herself.

The brief for this site was friendly, fun, quirky and rural. Fell and Dales provide catering for agricultural shows and outdoor events in Cumbria and the North West. They have a strong local identity but we wanted to avoid the obvious lakes and mountains scenery. Instead we focussed on their farms, and used a rustic colour scheme.

This is a site created to showcase the horror movie Heretic, written and produced by Mod Scientists. The project brief was to create an immersive experience, and a truly scary context in which to integrate material drawn from YouTube, SoundCloud and Flickr. The chilling atmosphere is achieved with a full screen background and a little twist of interactivity. The site is fully responsive, adapting to fit different screen sizes, browser types, and mobiles.

Mod Scientists

Physi-Cal is an app for massage therapists and other body workers to record appointments and treatment details. The therapist can draw on 3D rotating figure for each client, print treatment records, and toggle back and forth through a client’s appointment history. The software is advanced, yet the interface is clear and intuitive.

Mod Scientists are a creative collective who are making a horror film entitled ‘Heretic’. The site has a minimalist retro-futuristic feel to it. The homepage is designed for initial impact whilst the other pages are designed with content in mind. Mod Scientists write a fascinating blog documenting the development of the film.

The band Samsa required an unusual media player for their website. We decided a hand drawn style would be most appropriate, and had great fun bringing together our love of vintage record players and interactive design. Clicking on a record cover places it on the turntable and moving the stylus to different parts of the record plays the track.

It features an interactive panorama and fully working compass, and a liquid layout to optimise it for different screen resolutions. This resource has been very popular with schools and outdoor centres.

Ness Building Solutions required a business startup website. The brief for this deceptively simple site was open, honest, and professional. This site is easy to use and looks good on smartphones and mobile devices – the larger menu tabs work well with touchscreens; fingers are chunkier than mouse pointers.
